Precise Behavioral Raises $14.2 Million to Address Behavioral Health Challenges in Emergency Departments
Precise Behavioral, Inc. has raised $14.2 million in new funding to expand its behavioral health services and technology platform, with a focus on helping hospitals and health systems address some of the most pressing challenges in behavioral healthcare.
The funding round, led by A1 Health Ventures, will support the continued growth of Precise Behavioral’s operations and further development of its artificial intelligence capabilities. The company partners with hospitals and health systems to deliver behavioral healthcare through a combination of technology-enabled and clinical services.
A key focus of Precise Behavioral’s work is addressing behavioral health-related emergency department boarding—a persistent challenge for hospitals when patients experiencing psychiatric or behavioral health crises remain in emergency departments while waiting for appropriate care.
Precise Behavioral is also working to simplify the fragmented technology and service landscape that health systems often face. Rather than relying on multiple specialized vendors for different components of behavioral health delivery, the company aims to provide a more integrated approach.
Behavioral Health Business recently took an in-depth look at Precise Behavioral’s latest funding round, its strategy for addressing ED boarding, and its vision for reducing the complexity of managing multiple behavioral health vendors.
